Inspired by the profound love of writing, writers' retreats, and the community I’ve found along the way, my daydream was to begin a writers’ residency and one day to also host my own writing retreats.
In 2026, I founded Sugarbowl.ink
Sugarbowl.ink is a digital space and writers' residency that empowers and promotes storytelling in Queensland, Australia, particularly for and by underrepresented writers.
Residencies will launch in 2027, including fellowship and discounted places.
Applications will open late 2026.
Sugarbowl's mission is to nurture, inspire, and support writers so that their most connected creativity awakens as potent storytelling. All residencies will be self-directed as solo or duo retreats held in our two-bedroom cottage. Find time, space, and inspiration nestled in a secluded pocket of lush rainforest on Wangerriburra land, Tamborine Mountain.
