I’m your new best friend until you tell me otherwise.

Liana Black is a reader, editor, and writer of bildungsroman fiction, feminine rage, and creative sports literature.

Hi, welcome to lianablack.com

Unlike a lot of authors, I didn’t start voraciously reading or writing as a kid; I had to learn by becoming obsessed with learning. Every lesson I absorbed, story I read, line I wrote, line I rewrote, and friend I have made along the way has breathed divinity into my life.

If you’re an angry woman, a flittery queer, a creative man, a sporty deep-thinker, or just an overthinker, you may like it here.

Thank you for visiting my page. I’m glad you made it.

About Liana Black

Liana has written professionally in Australia’s sports industry since 2018. She began freelance editing and critiquing works of fiction in 2020 and has helped develop works to publication, including short stories, personal essays, and a full-length novel. In the past year, her writing was highly commended by the Faber Academy and shortlisted by the Australian Writer’s Centre and for the Kat Muscat Fellowship.

A neurodivergent queer woman with a severe case of extroversion, Liana always has ten projects on the go and can’t reach her own off-switch.

Go on.
